A couple of months ago, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare announced that their Australian 'Outback Pack' would be renamed the 'Outback Relief Pack', and that they had released the 'Australia Fire Relief Bundle'. All profits that were to be made from the purchases of these packs would be donated to support the forest fires that had been devastating Australia.
According to a report by IGN, the gaming industry as a whole have managed to raise $4.5 Million for the cause, and that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare packs were the two largest fundraisers for the support. Despite what anybody says about gamers, or the industry itself this is a very humbling realisation at just how effective gamers can be when they strive for the same thing. Despite how toxic the community can be towards other players, even on the Call of Duty games, they can be proud in the amount of money raised over the past two months
