Nickmercs leaves 100 Thieves

Out of the blue today came the news that Nick Kolcheff, AKA Nickmercs, will be leaving his Esports organisation 100 Thieves 'effectively immediately'. Nickmercs is currently one of the top Fortnitr players in the world and a famous streamer, with a huge following.

He joined 100 Thieves about 2 years ago, back in 2016, and rose to become one of the most popular household names on Twitch today. Nickmercs posted his news on his official Twitter account this afternoon, explaining that he will be moving away from his 100t teammates in LA, back to his hometown Michigan. He tweeted: So excited for this next chapter- I've got everything I need: the friends, the family, and the MFAM. We've laid down the foundation for the future and I'm thankful for every one of you that has been part of the journey back home to Michigan.

We're back to business as usual today and, for me, that means continuing to work to be happy, to take care of myself and take care of those that matter the most to me and my happiness. With that, I am moving onto the next chapter of my life and have decided that I will no longer be a member of 100 Thieves, effective immediately".

His org, 100 Thieves issued the below statement wishing him the best of luck moving forward. It will be really interesting to see what route he takes moving forward. We wonder whether he will stay solo and represent himself, or if he'll get picked up by another org...God knows many will be looking to add him to their roster.
