It’s been a heck of a week so far and the fun did not stop last night at the Sony conference. A few days ago they released a wicked trailer showcasing a few of their games. And whilst the conference didn’t offer much more than we expected, it did get us hyped for some big games.
The Last Of Us Part II
As you’re probably aware, this is an exclusive and the first game in the series was one of the most critically acclaimed games oin the past few years. It had a massive number of players anut also hit high figures for viewers watching on both Twitch and YouTube. The trailer gave us a really good feel for the game; it starts with a very emotional scene between main character Ellie and her girlfriend and immediately cuts to an intense scene of Ellie beating the crap out of some guys. We always knew it was going to be an intense game and we can’t wait to see more!
Ghost of Tsushima
The next game in the conference was another game that was teased before the show. Ghost of Tsushima Is an open world samurai game set in Feudal Japan during an invasion from Mongolia. You have to see this trailer and look at the graphics. The wind in the trees, the details on the main character and horse and the blood that spurts out as his Katana pieces his enemy’s skin. So detailed!
We’re not sure how to describe this game, there’s so much going on in the trailer. It kind of felt like a Splinter Cell with magical powers living in a future world of inception....on a more simple note, it’s a third-person RPG that looks cool as hell.
Resident Evil 2 Remaster
Classic series, classic game remastered for today’s graphics. I remember thinking it was terrifying when I played it as a child so I hope the scariness is maintained. The trailer certainly gives it that eerie feel
Kingdom Hearts 3
We’ve seen quite a bit of Kingdom Hearts 3 over the past few days but Sony gave us a much greater trailer. Donald Duck, Jack Sparrow and more.
The weirdest start to a video ever...seriously?! Anyway the game itself looks quite cool. In a world that’s baron and deserted, Daryl from Walking Dead carries what appears to be his baby in a matrix style pod on his chest. I’m guessing his trying to find safety but you know what Kohima is like, anything could happen here.
A cool looking samurai fighting against a huge demon beast that resembles Balrog from Lord of the Rings. The first games was pretty cool and this one looks like a more insane, sword-wielding, demon slaying adventure.
Everyone’s favourite friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is back with a brand new title. It’s due out this September and it looks fantastic. When Spidey’s enemies all formulate a prison break he’s called into action to mop up the streets once again.
