Xbox has their E3 conference yesterday and delivered on a truck load of hype from all the teasers in recent weeks. There is so much to cover here so we’ve tried to break it down easily so you can find the games you’re most interested in. For a lot of games, not much information has been released but there are some damn cool trailers which we’ve provided links to below.
Gears of War 5
One of Xbox’s biggest exclusives returns for it’s fifth major title (not including Judgment). The series has a hardcore following of fans who enjoy the multiplayer game modes, but it was the storyline which is making anxieties run high yesterday. The trailer shows tensions between Kait, JD and squad and suggests more will be unveiled about Kait and Reyna’s ties to the locust.
Another massive announcement from the Xbox team yesterday lies in a new instalment of one of the gaming industry’s biggest titles; Halo. It’s been 3 years since the release of Halo 5 and 343 have said the feedback they received has been the fuel for Halo Infinite. The game will feature more of Master Chief and will draw up upon cinematic styles true to the franchise. Other than the trailer below there isn’t much more to say, but you have to admit it looks incredible.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
This enchanting little number is a sewuel to Ori and the Blind forest, a magical platform adventure from back in 2015. Few details are available other than it will be released on Xbox One and Windows 10 but the trailer itself entices everyone here at Druid. Take a look and see for yourself.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
You’ve probably all heard of Bloodborne and Dark Souls, and therefore may know their developer FromSoftware. They’re now releasing Sekiro and it looks epic. It has a very similar feel to the old Thief games but looks very much like a ninja based stealth game the gives you grappling hooks, plenty of sword fights and crazy big bosses.
Our favorite post apocalyptic game is making a return! And if you're like myself and wondering how this crazy world came about - then you're in luck. Fallout 76 is going to be a prequel to all 4 games! It's time for context ladies and gentleman. L
It's Crackdown time! - is that a thing? I don't think so! However what is a thing is the release of Crackdown 3 & it looks like Terry Cruise will be making a feature. One our favorite games & people combined together. We are excited! A freshen up which was well-needed.
An action role-playing game developed by PlatinumGames that was very popular in 2017. Finally this beautiful hack and slash adventure has a release date of June 26 when you’ll be able to play the “Becomes a Gods” edition of the game.
Sea of Thieves
Since it’s release in March, Sea of Thieves has receive quiet negative reviews regarding the lack on content that can really sustain the game. However developers, Rare, have recently just released The Hungering Deep update and at E3 announced two new expansions; The Forsaken Shore and Cursed Sails. These will give players more land, wrecks and obviously booty to find and pillage.
Forza Horizons 4
If you're like us and have spent a lot of time perfectly drifting through corners or kissing the apex as you take your opponent on the inside - this news will hit the nail on the head for you. Forza are releasing Forza Horizon 4. Of course exclusively for Xbox the notorious racing game will be set in our very own United Kingdom. Brilliant news! And what’s more - there will be hovercrafts...amazing, right?
The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit
This release is a very cool looking game. It's a spin off of Life is Strange (10/10 on Steam by the way), in which the trailer shows a young boy who's imagination is infinite and awesome. He goes on many adventures fighting evil all the while making use of his back garden, his home and even snow men. This game looks so different, you have to watch this trailer. It's almost like a Disney movie:
A new addition to 4A's Metro survival horror series, Metro Exodus shows a dark and torn-apart city with plenty of angry enemies to fight or hide from, depending on your braveness. The new trailer released at E3 suggests it could be open world and the developers have even pushed the game back slightly in order to provide the best Metro game possible
The Division 2
One of the most awaited games of any E3 to date, the Division 2 has an official release date of March 2019. It's a long way away I know, but don't panic...the Beta is now officially open. Get your squad back together because plenty of loot is waiting to be stolen from other people in the Dark Zone! Sign up on the Ubisoft website for the beta now. The only official video you need to see is below, which gives you a full view of the game (pending changes) but more importantly will probably get you very excited for Division 2!
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
The third instalment of the modern day Tomb Raider games, Shadow of the Tomb Raider looks bloody brilliant. It has the same feels as the first two games where you hang on every edge with Lara Croft. The graphics look unbelievable, the story line intriguing and the expected puzzles and adventure still as fascinating as ever. This is certainly one of the best titles on the list and one Druid Gaming will be keeping an eye on in the build up to its relea
