Dying Light 2, which is currently in development by Techland, is a zombie survival game which was due to be released in the Spring of 2020. It is one of the most anticipated games of the year but unfortunately fans will have to wait a bit longer than expected to get their hands on it. Techland announced today that it will not be released in the Spring as originally suggested as they "need more time to fulfill our vision".
It seems that 2020 could be the year of delayed games, with the development of a number of other titles being delayed as well including Cyberpunk 2077, Marvel's Avengers and the Final Fantash 7 remake. Whilst it is frustrating that games are delayed like this, especially with Spring growing very close, it's also nice to see studios caring about their finished product. Too many times have we bought games and seen patch after patch within the opening weeks and months.
Techland smartly didn't specify a new timeframe for the release, meaning they have left themselves some leeway about when they can bring it out. However we are sure if an update isnt provided within a couple of months there is no doubt fans will be even more displeased!
