Call Of Duty' battle royale mode 'Blackout' has a trailer and new announced details such as the player capacity. Battle royale modes are often known for being 100 players strong however Call Of Duty confirm 'Blackout' will be 80 players - this is obviously a decision made for everyone to get the most out of the mode. We also have a look at the map which the Battle Royale mode will take place on, it is Call Of Duty's biggest map to date. As you can see from the image it is the type of play area we would expect from a Royale game mode offering different area types and of course space to roam around.
Something to take note of is some location names are symbolic to the franchise 'Nuketown Island' being one - So we can expect that map to influence how the area looks, from the trailer you can also tell that the map includes some larger indoor areas to fight in which is not something we always see in the Royale genre.
The trailer also showcases a variety of transportation ranging from ATVs to boats and helicopters these could help give you an edge in battle or simply make it easier to get around the map. The final thing to take notice of during the trailer is not only are other players a threat but zombies too - from what we have heard zombies are in some but not all locations around the map they can grant you loot if you want to take on the risk of killing them or you could also use zombies as seen in the trailer to ambush other teams.
