Call of Duty is a household name, it's been around for years and has given many gamers years of entertainment. However, it has to been said that in recent years the title has perhaps let itself down with a couple of titles falling short of expectations, particularly with games like Modern Warfare 2 and the Blackops series being some of the greatest games of all time. Recently they've been trying to revive the series with the instalment of COD WW2. The game seemed to revitalise Call of Duty by going back to its basics and its routes, removing advanced weaponry such as jet packs and wall running.
Druid Gaming have been playing the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 since its release and we mus admit they really have developed a cracking game at first glance. With the old faithful multiplayer and zombie modes you know right from the word go. Not only that, instead of fighting between futuristic combat and old school, they've got a real balance going, and it works well.
The newest and biggest addition to the Call of Duty franchise is the inclusion of a Battle Royale mode, called Blackout. Recently games like Fortnite and PUBG have found massive success in this game type, drawing in millions of players and millions of viewers every day. There have been a number of contenders in this genre, the likes of Realm Royale for example, but they haven't had the clout to knock the giants off the top. well that could be about to change as Druid Renegade describes "the new Blackout Battle Royale mode has honestly swept the gaming scene off of its fee...I feel like this can hit the same levels that Fortnite is on, honestly, after my first day of playing it, I’m already in love".
What Druid Gaming are really looking forward to is a new Esports scene. PUBG has a large following for its competitive scene, and Fortnite does too but perhaps not to the level of COD, Leage & Overwatch etc. We think that with the massive following that COD Esports has, coupled with the new clean mechanics of Blackout mode we could be in for a real treat...perhaps even one day a Druid Gaming competitive team.
Do you agree with Druid Renegade? Reckon Blackout could be the new big Battle Royale game? Hit us up in the comments and let us know you thoughts.
