Battlerite: The MOBA Battle Royale Game

It’s no secret that Battle Royale style games are the current fad. With games like Fortnite and PUBG picking up millions of followers it was only a matter of time until we started to see more titles try and replicate the success. In the last year we’ve seen plenty of games come out with a Battle Royale mode including Realm Royale, Black Ops 4: Blackout and Dying Light: Bad Blood. You can’t help but feel that they’re all quite similar, except for a few differences: Fortnite has it’s building, Realm Royale has the class system, etc.

Well one game that seems to be setting new standards within the Battle Royale genre is Battlerite Royale. Think League of Legends and make it into a Battle Royale game. Insane, right?

At the start of the game you pick a different character and drop into the map in a very similar style to most other Battle Royale games. During the game you will have the ability to open orbs which contain gold, weapons and spells for both offence and defence. One big difference between Battlerite Royale and others is that player skill level varies throughout the game based on the number of kills you have. So if you come across a player with a skill level much higher than yours, it could be more beneficial to be evasive...unless you’re brave and skilful enough to take them down and reap the huge rewards.

All in all Battlerite Royale looks brilliant and the full sale happens on Wednesday (26th September) on Steam. Druid Gaming will be watching this one closely as it has a lot of potential for streaming and also esports.
