Bioware's upcoming online multiplayer RPG, Anthem, is due for release two weeks today - 22nd February and we're very excited. Back in June 2018 at E3 we got to see an extended game play trailer of the game and it looks amazing. The environment in which you play looks incredibly detailed and if the gameplay is half as good as we expect, I'll be happy.
However I do wonder how much traction the game will get. It's an important time for EA and Bioware after recent games were met with critical (Mass Effect: Andromeda for example), and EA are projecting 5-6 million sales in the first few weeks. But is it bad timing for Anthem? With games like Fortnite and PUBG still hot, and new releases like Apex Legends and Resident Evil 2 getting so much attention it might be a tough gig to get the response they want. Let us know what you think in the comments.
